VOYAH officially launched the VOYAH DREAM 9 at the “Night of Dreams” global launch event held at the National Speed Skating Oval in Beijing on September 22.
The new flagship MPV is available in three variants — Ultra, Ultra+ and Lizun Edition — with both plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains, priced from RMB 419,900 to RMB 529,900, together with a range of launch benefits.
As the flagship model taking the VOYAH DREAM family into the RMB 500,000 premium segment, VOYAH DREAM 9 is designed around the core scenarios of premium hospitality, business travel and family mobility. It is also the world’s first MPV equipped with a retractable hood emblem.
Built on a full-domain Level 3 architecture, VOYAH DREAM 9 integrates HUAWEI Qiankun ADS 5, HarmonySpace 6, an 800V high-voltage platform and Huju Chassis P, bringing together advanced intelligent technology, luxury and safety to redefine the value proposition of a new-generation flagship MPV.
The launch event was jointly presented by VOYAH and China Media Group (CMG) and unfolded across four chapters: Eastern Aesthetics, Eastern Hospitality, Eastern Intelligence and Eastern Encounters. More than the launch of a new vehicle, the event showcased how Chinese automotive brands are competing in the global premium market through proprietary technology, contemporary Chinese aesthetics and a distinctive value system.

Three Variants for Premium Business and Family Mobility
VOYAH DREAM 9 is offered in three variants tailored to different mobility scenarios.
The Ultra is designed as a family-focused technology flagship. Built on the full-domain Level 3 architecture, it features eight-system redundancy, seven-layer frontal protection and five-layer rear protection. Standard equipment includes three-chamber air suspension, dual-valve EDC damping and HUAWEI Qiankun ADS 5. The second-row seats support rotation, zero-gravity positioning and mechanical massage, while the chassis can automatically lower to make entry and exit easier. Baby-friendly interior materials, an air-purification system, a 21.4-inch ultra-clear ceiling display, a 13L dual-door heating and cooling refrigerator, and external power supply capability support family relaxation, entertainment and outdoor travel.
The Ultra+ is designed as a luxury business lounge, with features tailored to premium business reception. A star-inspired illuminated grille, dual-color DLP headlights and welcome light carpet create a strong sense of occasion. Inside, the suede headliner and ambient lighting elevate the cabin experience.
The vehicle comes standard with powered privacy curtains for the second row, while intelligent dimming privacy side windows are available as an option, providing greater privacy for business discussions and relaxation. The second-row VIP seats support rotation, and DREAM 9 is the only model in the industry to offer ventilation, heating and massage functions across all seats, ensuring premium comfort for every occupant.
The Lizun Edition is positioned as the ultimate expression of Eastern craftsmanship and ceremonial luxury. Its crystal retractable emblem, exclusive two-tone body finish, “Dragon Scale” detailing, “Gilded Twin-String” waistline and “Heaven and Earth in Harmony” floating wheel design come together to create a distinctive Chinese flagship aesthetic. Here, Eastern design is not simply decorative; it reflects the confidence of a Chinese premium brand presenting its own cultural identity to the global market.
Eastern Aesthetics: A Distinctive Chinese Design Language
VOYAH DREAM 9 introduces the brand’s new “Bold · Fluid · Elegant” design language, bringing a distinctly Eastern aesthetic to contemporary automotive design. Rather than simply layering traditional symbols, it transforms cultural values into a modern industrial design language.
Guided by the design concept of the “Galaxy of Heaven and Earth,” DREAM 9 incorporates ideas of balance, ceremony, inclusiveness and progress into the vehicle’s proportions and details, creating a more distinctive Chinese aesthetic expression within the premium MPV segment.
Its upright, confident body proportions convey the presence of a flagship MPV. The crystal retractable emblem incorporates 2,520 precision-cut facets, rising to symbolize progress and retracting seamlessly into the body when not in use. The two-tone body is complemented by a sculpted “Gilded Twin-String” waistline, while the “Dragon Scale” lower grille draws on auspicious Chinese symbolism. Star-inspired lighting elements extend across the vehicle, linking the front and rear and making light itself part of the vehicle’s character and brand identity.
Eastern Hospitality: Elevating the Premium MPV Experience
Hospitality begins with a sense of occasion and respect.
VOYAH DREAM 9 combines its retractable emblem, star-inspired illuminated grille, welcome light carpet, power sliding doors, rotating seats and chassis height adjustment to create a complete hospitality experience — from welcoming passengers to settling into the journey.
The HUAWEI XPIXEL dual-megapixel full-color intelligent headlights, with a combined 2.6 million pixels, can project navigation arrows, lane-departure warnings, pedestrian zebra crossings and other safety information, while also creating customized welcome animations.
As occupants approach, the vehicle automatically comes to life: the emblem rises and illuminates, the welcome lighting unfolds, and the vehicle body lowers. When the doors open, the illuminated sill extends, while the second-row seats rotate outward by 45 degrees to welcome passengers. Technology here goes beyond functionality, becoming part of the experience offered to every occupant.
Eastern Encounters: Rethinking Space Around Real Life
VOYAH DREAM 9 moves beyond the conventional MPV formula of defining space primarily through wheelbase and vehicle length. Instead, it rethinks the cabin around the idea of “how life happens.”
Through flexible combinations of seats, extended sliding rails, the panoramic roof and multiple displays, the cabin can adapt to a wide range of scenarios.
The second-row seats support 45°, 90° and 180° rotation. Combined with the reclining front seats, adjustable third-row backrests and extended seat rails, the cabin can seamlessly adapt to a wide range of scenarios.
With the second-row seats rotated 180 degrees, parents can face their children for storytelling or play. Folding the front seats creates a more open space for family interaction and relaxation, while the intelligent draft-free climate control system further enhances comfort for parents and children. For business reception, rotating the second-row seats creates a face-to-face setting for more natural conversation.
The second-row VIP zero-gravity seat is the world’s first ultra-luxury seat to integrate rotation, lateral sliding, zero-gravity positioning and mechanical massage. Its traveling mechanical massage system, combined with airbag percussion, simulates professional manual massage to help relieve fatigue and create a mobile SPA experience.
Together with LC intelligent dimming privacy glass, a 13L dual-door heating and cooling refrigerator, the 21.4-inch second-row display and VOYAH Sound with 35 speakers, DREAM 9 creates an environment suited to business meetings, family entertainment and long-distance relaxation.

Eastern Intelligence: From Individual Features to a Future-Ready Architecture

VOYAH DREAM 9 is built around a future-oriented flagship architecture combining intelligent driving, intelligent cabin technology and active safety.
Based on its full-domain Level 3 architecture, DREAM 9 is equipped with HUAWEI Qiankun ADS 5 and HarmonySpace 6. Its perception hardware includes one 896-line dual-optical path image-grade LiDAR, three high-precision solid-state LiDAR units and a total of 37 intelligent sensors, providing comprehensive environmental perception.
The architecture also incorporates safety redundancy across eight major systems, including perception, computing, braking and steering. Through multi-system coordination, it enhances risk identification and vehicle control in complex driving conditions, reducing driver workload and improving confidence behind the wheel.
The operating range of functions including front AEB, lateral collision prevention (LOCP), eAES and rear AEB has also been expanded, further strengthening the vehicle’s defensive driving capabilities. eAES can proactively anticipate potential hazards and help mitigate the risk of rear-end collisions.
Dongfeng Engineering: 57 Years of Manufacturing Expertise
Drawing on 57 years of Dongfeng Motor’s manufacturing expertise and engineering standards, VOYAH DREAM 9 combines robust mechanical fundamentals with comprehensive vehicle integration.
At its foundation is Huju Chassis P, combining three-chamber air suspension and dual-valve EDC damping. VMC intelligent vehicle-domain control enables millisecond-level dynamic adjustment, while 10-degree bidirectional rear-wheel steering gives the large MPV the maneuverability of a smaller vehicle.
A front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension layout, combined with intelligent electric all-wheel drive, further enhances stability and handling.
Passive safety protection extends from the body structure to all three seating rows. DREAM 9 features an ultra-high-strength cage body structure, seven-layer frontal collision protection and five-layer rear-end protection specifically engineered around three-row MPV occupancy. A total of 11 airbags cover the front, middle and rear rows to provide comprehensive protection for occupants.
The electrified powertrain has also been designed around both efficiency and battery safety. All versions use an 800V high-voltage platform. Plug-in hybrid variants feature a 65kWh battery and support 5C ultra-fast charging, enabling a 20%–80% charge in just 12 minutes. The all-electric version is equipped with a 120kWh battery to meet different mobility needs.
The Amber Battery incorporates 16 layers of full-domain structural safety protection, providing multiple safeguards for battery safety.
A New Flagship MPV for a New Era
Market response has already demonstrated strong early interest in VOYAH DREAM 9. During the pre-sale period, the model recorded more than 30,000 pre-orders within 48 hours, with the Lizun Edition accounting for more than 50%. Existing VOYAH DREAM owners have also placed more than 20,000 upgrade orders.
